The club unfortunately has some unfriendly members who make comments and look down on you if you don't have the best gear. I had just started with the hobby and was not prepared to invest thousands of dollars. Unfortunately I found it to be elitist and not inviting to new potential members. It not only turned me off the club, but off the hobby entirely.
